About
My name is Reinis and I am currently pursuing a PhD in pure mathematics as part of the Algebra & Combinatorics research group at the University of St Andrews under the supervision of professor James D. Mitchell. My research is focused on computational semigroup theory. One of my goals is to apply methods from automata theory to aid the design of algorithms for solving the word problem in various classes of semigroups.
